Optimus Prime Electronic Transformer Toy - Just In Time to Transform Your Holidays

Collectors young and old will be checking out the new Optimus Prime Transformer Toy! Don't be surprised if it turns up on some letters to Santa this year. The new Prime has great pose- ability and remains affordable at around 45.00. If you catch the sales you may find it as low as $20. This toy is appropriate for children 5 years of age and up.
Optimus is comfortable in either "robot-mode" or "semi-mode". In robot mode, this mighty warrior features electronic speech and light-up eyes and chest with snap-out energy swords, this good guy is ready to take on DECEPTICON forces once and for all! In tough semi truck mode, the engine makes revving and racing sounds and cool conversion sounds.
His legs are more streamlined than ever before and his feet are also more functional. The flames on his legs are a nice touch. He takes a while to completely transform but it is totally worth the work. The new model talks more than previous models, and he lights up nicely too!
Features include:
- Windshield lights up
- Headlights light up
- Clearance lights
- Air Horn
- Snap out energy swords
The only complaint I've heard so far is that the body could use a little more chrome and a little less grey paint. That's okay, say other collectors, who like to use their own paint and customize Prime, the fearless leader of the Autobots.
Overall the new Hasbro Optimus Prime does not disappoint, he is detailed and has very cool features. Most consumers were pleased with their purchase and thought it was reasonably priced. Perfect gift for the holidays, Transform your Christmas and bring smiles to the faces of your Optimus fans at home.

Transformer, Optimus Prime Is Back and Ready to Do Battle!

Fans of the Transformers feature-length film "Revenge of the Fallen" have been waiting a long time for the release of the new Hasbro Optimus Prime Electronic Transformer Robot figure. By the looks of him, they will not be disappointed.
Transforming Prime from Autobot mode to Peterbuilt Semi is fun and exciting. Be patient at first, it is slightly complicated. Right out of the box, kids younger than ten might need adult assistance, but once you learn the process it is easy.
Optimus Prime, the new electronic robot figure is sturdy and has lots of cool features. Weighing in at about 2 pounds, when in robot mode, he stands a full 10 inches high. His eyes and chest light up and he when he has to do battle, he comes equipped with two missile cannons to destroy StarScream or anything else that threatens Earth or its inhabitants.
Optimus Prime has had a makeover, his body and legs have been streamlined, more detailed and he looks really cool with the flames coming up from his feet and around his legs. Hasbro improved the voice quality and increased the amount of phrases that Prime can speak, which is always nice for collectors and for kids who actually play with this toy. For those who do want to play with him, they recommend being at least five years old maybe even a little older.
In his engine revving, truck mode Prime has a button on top of the cab of the truck that sounds the air horn and lights up the windshield, along with headlights and clearance lights too! He is just packed with wisdom and charm, just like the character this toy represents, and is one our kids can look up to.
Priced at around $40, Optimus Prime makes a great gift for young and the not so young. Anyone who has fond memories of the original Transformers cartoon series, first released in 1984 will appreciate the hard work that went into designing and creating this beloved Autobot leader.

Get Primed for Optimus - You Know You Want One!

Transformer fans are excited about the new Electronic Optimus Prime Transformer Robot. Hasbro has updated and improved this figure in several ways. He weighs just over two pounds he feels a bit heavy when you take him out of the box. Sanding 10 inches tall in robot mode, he feels sturdy in hand. The head and upper body have good definition and his chest and eyes light up.

Design

The lower body also has more details and better design than the older version. The wheels tuck back and out-of-the way and the legs are less bulky. Be careful not to break or damage the feet. The feet contain the mechanism for automatically changing certain parts back to truck mode. He has greater mobility than previous models and can manage different poses quite easily.
A little longer than its original model this new one has fewer visible seams when in truck mode. Less cartoonish and a bit more serious; this Optimus Prime is ready for anything! Fearless and wise, as a hero he has earned the respect of humans, everywhere.

Battle Ready!

Prepared for battle, Prime comes with two missile cannons. They are not detachable and when he is in truck mode the missiles turn into smoke stacks. His voice is clearer and he speaks more, which is always an important feature. Other sounds that consumers enjoy are the air horn, revving engine and the changing mechanism sounds.
I say...Get Primed for Optimus
For collectors and older children this is a great choice and is reasonably priced in the $40 range. If you shop online or the holiday sales you may find some bargains. Check out this loved and respected character, you might just want to take him home for some earthling you love.

Optimus Prime is a well-built, electronic transformer toy. Although designed for children five years and older, we found there were some confusing moments during the transformation of this toy, children might need adult assistance. Once it had been completed a few times it was not a problem.

Long time fans and novices will love how Optimus Prime looks and performs! All of us look forward to the release of the new movie next year.

The new Optimus Prime Transformer toy, from Hasbro, has fans and collectors buzzing about the many upgrades this model has compared to previous releases. Fans that enjoy posing and playing with their Autobots and Decepticons will love Prime because he is durable and has many poses. His whole body has movable joints. Optimus comes prepared to protect and defend humans and bots everywhere.
Collectors will appreciate the new sleek look and design. This model looks less-cartoon like with a more sculpted head and body. His eyes and his chest light up and with more complex verbal phrases he is ready for all kinds of play. Standing 10 inches tall when in robot mode, and weighing in around two pounds, this figure feels sturdy enough to handle rough play.
When the Autobot leader is in Peterbuilt truck mode, sound the air horn and turn on the cool headlights and clearance lights. The button for the horn is on top of the cab. The windshield also lights up. There are fewer seams in the overall appearance of the vehicle. It has cleaner lines. Another feature is the automatic mode changing feature in the foot so if that gets damaged you could have trouble completely transforming him back. His gas tank is the battery compartment.

Transformers Season Two/First 40 Episodes

By far the longest of the three seasons with 49 episodes, season two is full of new and exciting inventions as well as a whole host of new Cons and Bots. Insecticons , Constucticons, Stunticons, and Combaticons were added to the mix of Decepticons.
The Autobots introduced, Dinobots, Morphobots, Arialbots, and of course Protectobots.
The first episode of season two shows Sparkplug developing a machine that is supposed to hold on to the memory of the Autobots while they are being worked on mechanically. This sounds like a good idea at first, but as always the Decepticons have to go and ruin everything.
The next invention comes from Wheejack, who has developed a way to immobilize virtually everything! Quite useful, until Megatron finds a way to use it against the Autobots.
Other early episodes focus on the Dinobots. As usual the Decepticons are hungry for the rich natural resources on the Dinobot Island, they try to tap into the energy of the island. Thankfully,  another nefarious plot is foiled by the good guys.
The next ten episodes go by in a flash until before mid season when Megatron takes control of the flow of oil by seizing control of the Torq 3 computer. The next two episodes titled “Megatrons  Master Plan” lead into the first highlight of the season when the Decepticons attempt to take over New York City and destroying Optimus Prime as well! In the end the Autobots have to save both without the help of their fearless leader.
Immediately following that, another two part episode 19 & 20 “The Desertion of the Dinobots”  With cybertonium in short supply both sides are having a tough time especially the Autobots who have to rely on the Dinobots for their share of the rare element. The Dinobots have a few gripes of their own and quickly turn on the Autobots leaving them without recourse.
Episodes 21 through 30 reach out to the audience in different ways, giving them more character building and different scenarios to explore. Around the 32nd & 35th episode female transformers were developed the story line set on working them in they wrote the kidnapping of the leader of the female Autobots, Elita1 and used her to set a trap for Optimus Prime. Elita uses her special time alteration powers, but is left near death and needs to go to Alpha Trion in order to be saved.
Both Powerglide and Seaspray have love interests in this season. First the Decepticons go after the teenage daughter of a man who has a secret invention. Powerglide rescues her and finds  she has fallen in love with him. Then later Seaspray falls for a rebel from another world which doesn’t end well either.
Another two part Episode 30 & 40 deals with the Decepticons getting the powerful key to Vector Sigma, only to find the key can be used to turn organics into machines. The impact of this power if used against the Earth would be devastating. Fortunately, the Autobots create a surprising new ally that saves the day.
The last nine episodes are loaded with excitement and history, read on as we wrap up season two, and move on to the third and fourth season.

Developing a Base of Transformer Geeks…1984

Today when someone mentions Transformers, most people can conjure up images from the most recent full length feature films, with the state-of-the-art technology and special effects. But if you’re a Transformer geek you know where it all began for the Decepticons and Autobots.
Back in 1984, the original Transformer cartoon series was released for the main purpose of marketing the Transformer toy collection. In order to have a decent cartoon to put out, the writers had to develop characters and story lines for them. After all a toy is only as cool as its character, just ask Buzz LightYear. What happened after that, no one could have predicted.
Writers and illustrators went to work creating heroes and villains of epic proportions and a whole new world for them to defend. Of course where there are good guys there have to be bad guys. The Autobots are the heroes and the Decepticons (word meaning deception/to deceive-con/negative) were the bad guys.
Optimus Prime is a beloved character throughout the Transformers long history. Of course the largest and most powerful Auto bot, Optimus is the role models’, role model. He is the strongest, wisest, most uplifting character! We learn to respect him, and care what happens to him. The fans jumped on board and never looked back, they wanted more and more of everything Transformers.
That first season had 16 episodes in all. The first three were called “More Than Meets the Eye”. These episodes developed the strong story line of the two enemies and provided the jumping off point for the rest of the season.
The Decepticons and Autobots battle over the control of energy sources and when they crash to earth, they awaken dormant powers on earth and the war is on! This season introduced some of the characters like Bumblebee, Hound, Spike and Sparkplug.
With their energy reserves dwindling, the Autobots set out in their ship to find new reserves but are followed by the Decepticons, who attack right in the middle of a meteor shower. They board the Autobot ship, and in the course of the ensuing battle the ship is badly damaged and sent crashing to Earth.
In the second episode, the Autobots escape from the rubble of the crash to save the humans. Spike and Sparkplug return to Autobot Headquarters with them to help them in their battle. The Decepticons greedily plunder Earth’s resources and make Energon cubes, planning on returning to Cybertron with enough energy to ensure victory. Clearly the side that acquires control over the energy source has the upper hand, at least in the short story.
The first season ends with Megatron building the Constructicons in order to create a machine that can transfer all the Decepticons’ powers to him. When Megatron challenges Optimus Prime to a fight he must accept according to the code of honor. Prime is defeated and the Autobots must abandon Earth.
